Peri Acquires Mabey Hire, Shoring and Temporary Bridge Expert

Mabey Hire reported a turnover of £50 million last year, generating a pre-tax profit of £9.5 million, which included £4.4 million from disposals. The company employs around 400 staff and operates from 16 locations.

Under a new agreement with German-owned PERI, Mabey Hire will maintain its current management, brand, and name, continuing as an independent entity within the PERI UK umbrella. This deal is expected to enhance cross-selling opportunities, allowing Mabey Hire to offer a broader range of infrastructure and renovation products. The collaboration aims to improve service quality and expand business operations.

Ian Hayes, Managing Director of PERI UK, emphasized the focus on leveraging cross-selling opportunities to provide a more extensive product range and enhance customer service. David Adams, CEO of Mabey Hire, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and the potential to grow the business both in the UK and internationally.
